SUMMARY:Emotionally Available Schools
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this webinar\, ‘Emotionally Available Schools’\, which might just re-frame your thinking about emotional well-being in schools. It will take place on April 1st 4-5pm. \nWe are honoured to have Roger Mitchell presenting this session. Roger is a dedicated trustee for nurtureuk\, an organisation committed to the emotional well-being of children. He also serves as the Headteacher at Ripple Primary\, where his leadership and passion for nurturing young minds have made a significant impact. With a wealth of experience in education and a deep commitment to fostering supportive learning environments\, Roger brings invaluable insights to our discussion. Please join me in welcoming Roger Mitchell. \nIn this session Roger will present the journey the school has been on to get where it is today. \nWhen Roger Mitchell arrived as Acting Head at Ripple Primary School in 2005 it was not a happy school. With the staff team splintering from a lack of leadership following the long term illness\, and then death\, of their Headteacher\, attendance and outcomes were low and behaviour was not good amongst both the children and the adults. \nBut Ripple has now proclaimed itself to be an ‘Emotionally Available School’ and a recent visitor\, consulting on the SENDAP Review for the DfE\, has recently written to say: \n“At a time of negativity around SEND and inclusion\, you and your school are a beacon of hope and proof it can be done. It seems like this is your time to take your ideas to the world. We certainly need them.” \n  \n<\n\n \n\n\nRegister now

SUMMARY:Transforming educators: Boost performance\, relationships and wellbeing in just 6 weeks through mental fitness
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday 4 June at 2.30pm – 3.30pm for the LEARN LIVE webinar ‘Transforming educators: boost performance\, relationships and wellbeing in just 6 weeks through mental fitness’\nWhat are the aims of this webinar? \nWe often talk about mental health but Krissi Carter is reframing this thinking. Krissi talks passionately about mental fitness. Imagine you are in the gym\, looking to improve your physical fitness. It is the action you take rather than the talking around it which can really be THE difference. Krissi has a compelling story that details how she has transformed her own mental fitness. She is now offering programmes through the combination of coaching and the Positive Intelligence® operating system for educators to transform theirs too. \nWhat is PQ®?\nPQ® or Positive Intelligence Quotient (PQ®) is the measure of the relative strength of your negative mental muscles (Saboteurs) and your positive mental muscles (Sage).\nThe breakthrough research contribution of Positive Intelligence is the use of factor analysis to identify key factors that influence both performance and wellbeing. This research\, combining neuroscience\, positive psychology\, performance science and cognitive behavioural psychology has uncovered 10 negative responses (Saboteurs) and 5 positive responses (Sage). \nWho is Krissi Carter? \nKrissi is an experienced Trauma-Informed Executive Leadership Coach who has coached for nearly 16 years. She is a Fellow of the Association of Coaching and Master Practitioner EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council)\, abiding by the Global Code of Ethics. As an ex-headteacher (secondary)\, she is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and holds the NPQEL.\nShe is also Fellow of the Institute of Leadership (previously the Institute of Leadership and Management) and is one of their Institute Fellows Accredited for Mentoring (which includes coaching).\nIn addition to training in coaching (executive\, leadership and life coaching)\, Krissi has also continued to develop professionally by completing courses on being a Trauma-Informed Coach\, Mental Health First Aid\, Suicide Awareness\, and Counselling and Psychotherapy. \n  \n<\n\n \n\n\nRegister now

SUMMARY:Protecting children from online harm
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday 21 May at 4.00pm – 5.00pm for the LEARN LIVE webinar ‘Protecting children from online harm’\nWhat are the aims of this webinar? \nIn our session we will be taking you on a journey that explores the online world through the\neyes of a child. Starting by learning more about which websites and apps children and young\npeople spend most of their time on and their respective dangers. We follow this by sharing\nthe findings from our independent evaluations\, that gives a snapshot of what teachers have\nbeen facing and what we can do as educators to keep our children safe. \nWe will then explore some of the unhealthy habits and patterns young people have\ndeveloped due to their online use. To do this we will be watching real life scenarios that\nyoung people are faced with that have been acted out by professional actors followed by\nexploring the effects on school culture and society as a whole when these scenarios are left\nunattended to. \nAs the world develops around our children\, simply warning them of the dangers they face\nmay not be enough for them to take heed. We want to explore how experiential learning\nrooted in an arts based methodology can bear the best results. \nBenefits of attending\n– Clarity on what dangers young people face online and on which platforms.\n– Take away activities that can be used to facilitate a conversation in the classroom\nwith your students.\n– A better understanding of experiential learning rooted in arts based methodology \nWho are Diverse Voices? \nDiverse Voices is a leading provider of creative approaches to education. Using our\ninteractive e-learning tools\, teachers resources and the performing arts we inspire young\npeople to realise their creative potential\, improve life skills and explore sensitive and\nimportant issues. \nWith over 12 years of experience tackling sensitive subjects and having worked with over\n100 schools delivering to over 37\,000 children and young people\, we are well equipped to\nprovide solutions that are proven in practice not just in theory. We’ve transferred our many\nyears of experience into projects which provide measurable outcomes in key areas linked to\nthe PSHE national curriculum. \nWe are especially keen to share our findings around topics related to Relationships and Sex\nEducation (RSE)\, online safety and the laws around consent\, as young people are spending\nan increasing amount of time on the internet post pandemic and need extra support around\nthese issues. \nCovid-19 has impacted a lot of young people’s confidence in being able to\narticulate and express themselves\, but by using creative methods these sensitive issues can\nbe approached in ways that encourage students to open up and learn from a shared\nexperience. \n  \n<\n\n \n\n\nRegister now
