SUMMARY:Transforming educators: Boost performance\, relationships and wellbeing in just 6 weeks through mental fitness
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday 4 June at 2.30pm – 3.30pm for the LEARN LIVE webinar ‘Transforming educators: boost performance\, relationships and wellbeing in just 6 weeks through mental fitness’\nWhat are the aims of this webinar? \nWe often talk about mental health but Krissi Carter is reframing this thinking. Krissi talks passionately about mental fitness. Imagine you are in the gym\, looking to improve your physical fitness. It is the action you take rather than the talking around it which can really be THE difference. Krissi has a compelling story that details how she has transformed her own mental fitness. She is now offering programmes through the combination of coaching and the Positive Intelligence® operating system for educators to transform theirs too. \nWhat is PQ®?\nPQ® or Positive Intelligence Quotient (PQ®) is the measure of the relative strength of your negative mental muscles (Saboteurs) and your positive mental muscles (Sage).\nThe breakthrough research contribution of Positive Intelligence is the use of factor analysis to identify key factors that influence both performance and wellbeing. This research\, combining neuroscience\, positive psychology\, performance science and cognitive behavioural psychology has uncovered 10 negative responses (Saboteurs) and 5 positive responses (Sage). \nWho is Krissi Carter? \nKrissi is an experienced Trauma-Informed Executive Leadership Coach who has coached for nearly 16 years. She is a Fellow of the Association of Coaching and Master Practitioner EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council)\, abiding by the Global Code of Ethics. As an ex-headteacher (secondary)\, she is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and holds the NPQEL.\nShe is also Fellow of the Institute of Leadership (previously the Institute of Leadership and Management) and is one of their Institute Fellows Accredited for Mentoring (which includes coaching).\nIn addition to training in coaching (executive\, leadership and life coaching)\, Krissi has also continued to develop professionally by completing courses on being a Trauma-Informed Coach\, Mental Health First Aid\, Suicide Awareness\, and Counselling and Psychotherapy. \n  \n<\n\n \n\n\nRegister now

SUMMARY:HeadsUp4HTs #Hopes4Ed #2: Young People Thrive in Life\, Not Just in Exams
DESCRIPTION:Join the HeadsUp4HTs community to discuss issues around the future of education. This event will focus upon our #Hopes4Ed #02\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this Event\n\n\nHeadsUp4HTs invite you to join us in discussing the #NewNormal and a vision for a better Education. \nThis event will focus upon our #Hopes4Ed theme #02: \nAll young people are set up to thrive in life\, not exams: Renew the curriculum in line with the OECD 2030 Learning Framework\, which focuses on agency and the attitudes\, knowledge and skills that learners need to fulfil their potential and contribute to the well-being of their communities and the planet \nWith the 2021 exams on many Headteachers minds now is the time to discuss the relevance and impact of testing our young people. \nWe will continue to focus our HeadsUp4HTs discussions for this event around 3 key points: \n– a conversation about how our education system can prepare children for life\, not just exams \n– a conversation about where and how learning takes place – as well as who is involved in it \n– a conversation about the need to tackle inequalities outside\, as well as inside\, the classroom. \nWe will refer to The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Learning Framework\, and determine what we can understand and learn from this in order to shape a better future for education. \nWe will challenge you to create actionable change using our #Hopes4EdPledge and opportunities to write HeadsUp ThinkPieces of your intentions. \nLet’s re-imagine and shape the conversation to collectively find the best way forward! \nJoin us on Zoom on 9th December at 7:00pm. SUMMARY:#Hopes4Ed Theme #01: A New Public Conversation About Education
DESCRIPTION:HeadsUp4HTs invites you to discuss the first in the #HeadsUp4HTs #Hopes4Ed series: a 10 part events series focusing around 10 aspirational conversations for a better Education. \nAbout this Free Event\nHeadsUp4HTs invite you to join us in discussing the #NewNormalEdBook and a vision for a better Education. \nThis event will focus upon our #Hopes4Ed theme #01: There is a new public conversation about education: Launch a commission on the future of education and learning in England that unites the needs and ambitions of learners\, educators\, employers\, and parents. \nTo tackle the challenges of the future\, we need to design education systems with a broader set of outcomes that support ‘whole child’ development and help young people develop the capability to thrive through change and become agents of change themselves. \nThe HeadsUp4HTs community are dedicated to this! Now is the time to discuss what the future of education should look like and what needs to change in order to make this happen. \nBig Change have recently published a report in collaboration with IPPR detailing how Covid-19 has disrupted learning in an unprecedented way\, and how we might rethink educational priorities to build back better. This means preparing children for life\, not just exams & tackling inequalities outside\, as well as inside\, the classroom. \nHave a read here: https://www.ippr.org/research/publications/the-new-normal \nWe will focus our HeadsUp4HTs discussions for this event around 3 key points: \n\na conversation about how our education system can prepare children for life\, not just exams\na conversation about where and how learning takes place – as well as who is involved in it\na conversation about the need to tackle inequalities outside\, as well as inside\, the classroom.\n\nLet’s re-imagine and shape the conversation to collectively find the best way forward! \nJoin us on Zoom on 25th November at 7:00pm.
