The government’s SEND code of practice highlights four broad areas of SEND needs.

1. Communication and interaction.
2. Cognition and learning.
3. Social, emotional, and health difficulties.
4. Sensory and/or physical needs.

This course is delivered by Tom Robinson. Tom is a Headteacher and an Advanced Essex SENCO and Local Authority Partnership SENCO with 9 years of SENCO experience and over 23 years teaching experience. Tutor on the NASENCO and NPQSL.

What is SEND? How do you know how to support the children with SEND that you will meet? This course offers an understanding of what SEND actually means for children, the impact on their learning and outcomes and some practical solutions to try and find the right support for the children.
