Course Overview
This course will give you the theoretical understanding to enable you to support autistic learners. It will provide you with the tools and practical knowledge required and how this can be applied. You will learn how the condition affects young people and ways to communicate including verbal, non-verbal and visual. This course is designed for those with no prior knowledge and those who have had experience of SEN but not necessarily the pedagogical understanding. For those with more advanced knowledge you will be introduced to some of the important tools and approaches for working with children on the autistic spectrum used in schools.
