Returning to Work after Maternity or Paternity Leave

Education can seem to move quickly and change is the only constant. As a result, returning to work after maternity or paternity leave can be a daunting task. Opogo has teamed up with the MTPT Project to support colleagues in making this transition.

As the MTPT project explains, ‘We believe that parents are entitled to make decisions that support their wellbeing and the wellbeing of their families.  Wellbeing means different things for different people: for some, this means maintaining a sense of that “teacher” identity during the “break” of parental leave’.

The project has a community and courses to support educators return to the vocation they are passionate about. The video below explains their work and the lesson gives more detail regarding how you can engage with their work and support your own transitions back into work. Watch the short video and then watch the recorded webinar to support your return to education following your maternity/paternity leave.
