Invigilators are crucial for schools and colleges to run examination seasons effectively. There is a great demand for invigilators and so you can improve your employability by being ready to go when exam season comes around.
There are some updates for 2024-2025 which are as follows:
- Alternative rooming arrangementsCandidates with similar needs may be placed in a smaller group room.
- 1:1 invigilationThis may be used for candidates who cannot be accommodated in the same room as others, such as those with a serious medical condition, tic disorder, or behavioral difficulties.
- Evidence for candidates changing centersWhen a candidate moves from GCSE to GCE AS and/or A-level qualifications, the new center must have evidence that the access arrangement is still needed.
- Online applicationA new online application is required to process access arrangements, unless the candidate is receiving supervised rest breaks.
The JCQ website has full details of the updates, including a PDF document on Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments.
