Your trainer

Phil Denton is the Director of Learn. He is a former headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead with over 20 years of experience. Phil has led training on safeguarding across schools and has structured this course in a way that will allow you to understand the key themes, terminology and policy that surrounds safeguarding. Phil’s experience of leading multi-agency reviews, whole school safeguarding and more, allows him to share the basics you will need to know as a UK educator.

Resources

In the materials section of this course, you will be able to embed your learning by read the key information and terminology. There are also sections for reflection for each lesson. Watch each video, utilise the worksheets, note the attached documents mentioned in this course and take the quiz at the end in order to gain your certificate for this fundamental aspect of being an effective educator.
